Though the online education was prevalent in our country as well as the whole world prior to pandemic but it gained immediate attention when the schools were closed and billions of students were out of their classrooms and all the educational institutions had to shift the teaching learning methodology to only available online method. And the most challenging part of this online mode was imparting knowledge to the young minds of pre-primary and primary section.
BOMIS Jammu made a detailed research in formulating and designing the curriculum for pre-primary and primary section, which would not only be suitable in the present pandemic situation but would be equal beneficial when adopted during offline mode of teaching.
And what the team of experts of BOMIS suggested was adopted by us which is INQUIRY BASED AND PLAY WAY METHOD. Inquiry based learning is the form of active learning that is initiated by asking questions, problems and scenario. It is opposite to the traditional education which generally is based on the teacher presenting facts and their own knowledge about the subject. It effectively develops important soft skills such as creative problem solving, critical thinking, logical thinking, teamwork and even written and oral communication.
We at BOMIS lay down the foundations of the strong education in our children from the early stages of education only. Activity based education is the best way to teach the students attracting their interests in the activity and subsequently learning through that activity. Since the little minds are very inquisitive and activities create interest in them, BOMIS have a list of selected activities specially for primary and pre-primary students which includes: storytelling, puppet show, fun games among many others, interconnected subjects, phonetics, art and craft, music, dance/aerobics, sports, life skills, ESL etc.
